Anchor 1

Lorraine LaVoie is a graduate of the College of Saint Rose, retired from the East Greenbush Central School District in June of 2022, after 32 years of service.  During her tenure at Goff Middle School, Ms. LaVoie taught the 6, 7th & 8th grade bands.  Ms. LaVoie has recently returned to the EGCSD as a part-time elementary music teacher and continues to serve as the director of the Goff MS annual musical.  Ms. LaVoie earned her School District Administrator Certificate in 2003.  Under this certification, she served for several years as the EGCSD Music Department Chairperson, the Goff Middle School Summer School Principal, and as a Columbia High School Dean of Students.  Ms. LaVoie, a lifelong resident of Rensselaer County and mother of 3, enjoys yoga, hiking, skiing, singing in choir, and top on her list is spending time with her family, especially her new grandson and two goldendoodles, Bruin & Maisy.

Alexis Bresnahan is a 2006 and 2007 graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music Education with a concentration in Voice. While at SUNY Potsdam, Mrs. Bresnahan was active as a student conductor of womens and mixed choirs at the collegiate level mentored by Dr. Rebecca Reames. Mrs. Bresnahan has had the honor of conducting All-County choirs in Dutchess, Fulton, Sullivan, Onondaga, and Rensselaer counties. Mrs. Bresnahan currently teaches general music and choirs at the middle school level in the Kingston City School District (Ulster County, NY). Mrs. Bresnahan is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA). She also currently serves as the first vice-president of the Ulster County Music Educators Association (UCMEA). Mrs. Bresnahan lives in Red Hook, NY with her husband David and two daughters, McKenna (11) and Riley (8).

Chelsea Reeves is in her 16th year of teaching at the Ballston Spa Central School District. She has had the opportunity to work with Middle School and High School orchestra students. During this time, the string program has more than doubled its size.  Mrs. Reeves is an active member and Vice President of the Saratoga Warren County Music Educator Association, and believes that All County festivals are a wonderful way for students to connect and grow as musicians. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and a Master's in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose. Mrs. Reeves performs locally as a violinist in chamber orchestras, regional orchestras, as a pit musician and in the James Street String Quartet. Mrs. Reeves also enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, practicing yoga and being outdoors appreciating nature.

Bob Renzi  has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Siena College and a Master’s degree in Music Education from the College of Saint Rose. He served as the Choir Director at Schalmont High School in Rotterdam, NY, for 25 years until his retirement in 2021. He has been a guest conductor at numerous All-County festivals throughout the Capital Region, and has previously served as the choir director at St. Edward’s Church in Clifton Park and the Clifton Park Community Choir. He also plays keyboards, guitar and sings in a classic rock band.

Andrew Pease serves as Associate Professor of Music and Director of Instrumental Music at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, where he leads the Wind Ensemble and Brass Ensemble. He is also co-conductor of the Catskill Valley Wind Ensemble, a community band also based in Oneonta. His guest conducting work has taken him to several states and the UK, and he has presented nationally and internationally on topics in the wind band field. He has degrees from Dartmouth College, Columbia University Teachers College, and Hofstra University. He completed doctoral studies in wind conducting at Arizona State University, studying with Gary Hill. His work there earned him the 2017 American Prize in Collegiate Wind Band Conducting. He started his career in New York City, where he was music director of the Columbia University Wind Ensemble and the community band Columbia Summer Winds. Throughout his varied career, he has directed players of all ages and ability levels, from elementary beginning band to adult amateurs to professional ensembles. He runs two websites dedicated to wind bands. Wind Band Literature (windliterature.org) is a repertoire resource for bands around the world. The Wind Band Symphony Archive (windsymphonies.org) is a dynamic archive of symphonies for wind band.
